5S, Kaizen Blitz & Visual Control
Often, changes to a process can be applied fairly expeditiously, as the
process may not require total re-engineering. This third of the Six - Part
certification series is a demonstration of how to gain basic control,
develop a means of self-management in the operation and remove much of the
waste that exists.
The techniques listed in the title and others will be demonstrated to a
point that attendees will be prepared to incorporate them in processes in
their own work environment.
All of the techniques taught will be time proven in a variety of
businesses and are found to be effective with a minimum risk of disruption
within the specific area.
What you will achieve;
The ability to understand the purposes
and objectives of these tools and techniques, allowing attendees to
quickly establish where to apply them
The ability to focus on tasks that will result in achieving maximum
benefit with minimum effort
Skills that will steer you in the direction a of addressing areas in
need of improvement in an aggressive manner
An appreciation of why it is important to identify those tasks that add
little or no value to the process
A hands-on tutorial of the tools that can be used to streamline
processes rapidly.
What you will Learn;
The elements and progression of an
implementation plan
5S – what it is and how it improves the effectiveness of people working
within the process
Visual Control – Why the introduction of visual control provides a
continual and vivid status of an operation or segment of a process
typically with a quick review
Kaizen Principles – An understanding of the principles and the
application of continuous improvement basics
Flow Concepts – how flow is key to any operation and the absence of flow
is a clear signal of some sort of waste
Wasted movements – the most important asset of most processes is the
human element. If the person or persons functioning in a process are
continually delayed because of the lack of organization, the process
requires one of the concepts taught in this workshop.
